Painting

We're almost done painting. Hallelujah.
The guest room is lavender, the guest bath is lavender, the library is peach, the dining room is a rich crimson (which was already there, but we're leaving alone), the living room is off-white, and that's all that's painted.

What's left to paint is the kitchen, master bedroom and bath, and I think we'll be done. The kitchen has this ugly green wallpaper with peaches and oranges all over it. We might paint a shade of red so that it sort of matches the dining room, but that vibrant rich crimson wouldn't be a particularly good color for a kitchen I don't think. We may also paint it white.

We are probably going to leave the bedroom walls alone, they are a crisp white colour, but then again, it's awfully bright for a room you sleep in. What colour do you think?

A very long weekend, then chaos, then a holiday

I don't have class till Wednesday, and it's for an exam, and then that's it. Summer.

Finally.

Freedom.

Today I...

Well first of all, today apparently Kiwi had six babies. I won't get to see them for another week or so. Hopefully by saturday at least.

I also spent the weekend hanging with some friends. Wes, Adam, and Zach.

We went over to Adam and Zach's (they're brothers) for the weekend, at least that was the plan.

But o dear god when we went there....

There are just no words for how dirty that house was. At all. I still feel dirty and I was only there for an hour and then we went back home and ditched the brothers xD

Ugh.
I need something cute now. Let's look at some cute.

okay I'm done. Got any cute you want to share?

Ello ere govna

Don't know why I have one. So I can rant I guess.

I've been watching the extended cuts of Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings films for the first time. That is, when I haven't been painting or moving furniture. I gotta say, it's much more impressive than the theatrical cuts.

Currently, I'm half-way through the final one, Return of The King. My sister and dad have claims to the DVD though, since I left it at there house. D:

Now I have to wait like two whole weeks just to finish those last two hours of the best of the trilogy.

I've been wanting to reread Tolkien's works, which the films are based on, for awhile. My copies are old and falling apart. They smell like tobacco and leaves and summertime air. My copy of The Simarillion is older than I am. It's probably very valuable. I'm thinking it must be first edition for it to be that old.
I don't want to get rid of my copies. Perhaps I'll get new ones with my birthday money so I can read them. : D

In other news, I've been rereading RA Salvatore's "Legend of Drizzt" saga. I'm only on book two, but I just started Saturday and I've been busy xD

Ugh. I'm sick with coughs. I need a nap.

What about you?
